We’ve got great news! Our practice is now offering online, video visits. These are online visits done with you and your child at home!
How it Works
You can use an app on your smartphone, tablet, or computer to communicate via two-way video with your doctor.
In order to qualify for a video visit, the patient must have been seen in the office in the previous 12 months. All new patients and all well child visits will need to be seen in the office. Most Virtual Visits, especially medication monitoring for ADHD, anxiety, and depression, will require that surveys be completed prior to the actual visit. These can be done via our patient portal, thus it is very important that you have access to the Cooper Pediatrics patient portal in order to benefit from Virtual Visits. (https://portal.cooperpediatrics.com) At this time, self-pay and privately insured patients can use telehealth visits; However, the Georgia Department of Public Health currently will not cover these visits for patients with Medicaid, WellCare, Amerigroup, Peachstate, CareSource, or PeachCare state insurances. We hope to get our state to adjust their stance in the near future.
Type of Visits
We are offering Virtual Visits for ADHD, Anxiety/Depression, medication monitoring, and simple illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, allergies, poison ivy, pink eye, sinus infections, rashes, acne, ringworm, etc.
